First Assessment and Follow Up Treatment

What to Expect

Your First Visit

During the initial visit, your Practitioner will take a detailed health history and perform a physical examination particularly focusing on your spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. If treatment is considered appropriate, a treatment plan will be developed to meet your specific needs by incorporating a variety of treatment techniques including:

Joint mobilizations

Soft tissue therapy

Muscle energy techniques

Positional release therapy

Myofascial release therapy

Cranio-sacral manipulation

Visceral (organ) manipulation

Bioflex Laser (cold-laser therapy)

If your Practitioner finds your condition would be appropriately treated or co-treated by another health care professional, she will make the appropriate referral.

Follow up visits

During follow-up visits, your Practitioner may utilize one or more of the many different kinds of manual care techniques as well as the use of the Bioflex Laser therapy to further advance your healing. Your treatment will often include postural exercise, and other healthy living suggestions if deemed appropriate.
